Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory • Belle Isle Park • Detroit, MI

This weekend I actually had a Saturday free. Went to Belle Isle Park in Detroit. My dad took my brother and me here when we were kids to practice his photography. Today I went with my boy, unfortunately It was closed today. I got this photo through the fence.

For those not familiar with Detroit, this conservatory is located on the Island of Belle Isle which is in the Detroit River, Detroit, MI. This park was designed by Frederick law Olmstead who is famous for designing Central Park in New York. The conservatory was designed by Albert Kahn and inspired by Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. This is the oldest continually operated Conservatory in America.
